The danger is a combination of the expected likelihood, size, and distribution of avalanches. It provides a very basic description of the avalanche conditions.

Please Support NWAC
Are you a member of the Northwest Avalanche Center, or have you renewed your membership for the 2013-14 winter?
With government budgets shrinking, donations from individuals in the community are becoming even more important to the continued success of NWAC. Your contribution will help ensure that we can forecast reliably until the snow stops falling in the spring, enable repairs and improvements to weather stations and the website, and allow us to provide free avalanche awareness classes to those who need it most.
Please consider supporting a service that may someday save your life or that of someone close to you.
